The Evolution of Conscience

Jeffery Schloss co-organized,  with Christopher Boehm and Paul Wason, a conference on the “Evolution of Conscience” in Santa Fe, New Mexico (April 2010). Read a blog about the conference here. The conference examined the role of the conscience from an evolutionary perspective for the first time. What became clear is that the relationship between evolution, conscience, and religion is a complex one that needs rigorous further research.
